Susan Alderson

Susan Alderson began her interest in criminology as an undergraduate student at Teesside University, and has been an academic researcher, university lecturer and activist in the area of violence against women since 2000. She received her PhD from Durham University in 2015, which focused on the impact of domestic violence perpetrator programmes on children and young people. This was a multi-methodological study which collected primary quantitative and qualitative data. Through the course of her career Susan has undertaken various research projects focusing on domestic violence, early child development, children’s services and rape crisis interventions.
